Start the new year by using Medicare’s preventive tests and screenings to stay healthy. These services help detect health issues early for effective treatment. Talk to your doctor about which options are right for you.
If you are in a Medicare Advantage Plan, check your Summary of Benefits documents or call the carrier’s member services for their list of covered services offered by your plan. All Medicare Advantage plans must cover the same prevented services that original Medicare covers, some will cover more.
If you have Original Medicare (Part A & B), with or without a Medicare Supplement plan, log into your Medicare account to view available services at no or very little cost to you. If you don’t have an account sign up here, it’s easy.
Don’t forget to use your Supplemental Benefits offered by you Medicare Advantage Plan such as Silver Sneakers/One Pass memberships to your local fitness center.
